Turtles have been major influences in mythology and origin stories for hundreds of years. They are one of the oldest symbols to represent the Earth. One of my favourite origin stories comes from the Seneca Haudenosaunee (Iroquois). When Mother Sky fell, the great Turtle rose from the waters to break her fall. 

This Turtle necklace features a magical labradorite that flashes at multiple angles. The turtle is all hand sawed, stamped, and polished smooth out of sterling silver. The silver has been patina darkened and sanded in places for maximum contrast. This design is Navajo inspired.
 

 It rests on an 18" darkened sterling chain with an easy to use lobster clasp.
